The compliance and audit activities carried out within the scope of the Information and Communication Security Guide (BİGDES), conducted by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Digital Transformation Office, have been successfully concluded at our university.
The internal audit activity, planned in accordance with the Rectorate's assignment letter dated June 10, 2026, was carried out between June 15–19, 2026. The audit was conducted by two internal auditors holding ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification, within the framework of the principle of audit independence. The effectiveness of the guide's implementation process and the adequacy of the measures taken for asset groups were evaluated in detail. Within the scope of the audit, the technical and administrative controls implemented by our university in the field of information and communication security were thoroughly examined, and no nonconformities were identified.
The audit reports prepared as a result of these efforts were approved and submitted to senior management, and subsequently uploaded to the BİGDES system (bigdes.cbddo.gov.tr). Thus, the 2026 BİGDES compliance and audit process has been officially completed.
This process also provided an opportunity to assess the progress made over the past year in cybersecurity infrastructure, processes, and institutional awareness.
Our university will continue its efforts to sustain and build upon these achievements in information security management.
