Dear Members of Ibn Haldun University,
Ibn Haldun University has strengthened its wireless network infrastructure in open areas to enhance internet access for our students and staff, in alignment with our digital campus vision. To address coverage and speed issues in frequently used open spaces on our Başakşehir campus, 11 new outdoor access points (APs) have been installed. This brings the total number of active outdoor access points to 14, including the existing infrastructure.
As part of this expansion, wireless network coverage has been extended to the following areas:
• Surroundings of the dormitory area
• Surroundings of the gym
• Surroundings of the gym parking lot
• Surroundings of the staff parking lot
• The central courtyard
• The event area around the library
• Surroundings of the Student Life Center
• The areas in front of the School of Languages, School of Humanities and Social Sciences (İTBF), and School of Management Sciences (YBF) buildings
This initiative ensures uninterrupted internet access for our students, particularly in outdoor areas across the campus. Additionally, in case of emergencies such as earthquakes, the aim is to maintain communication via the internet in gathering areas, even if GSM networks experience disruptions.
The quality of connection has been improved in the central courtyard and green spaces, where students often spend time during pleasant weather. Coverage has also been expanded in open areas used for large events.
With this upgrade, our university now boasts a stronger, faster, and more secure wireless network infrastructure throughout the campus, marking a significant step forward in our pursuit of digital transformation.
